went up and introduced myself on field.

And actually we were in training camp in the end of my career in San Diego together.

So I knew him just a little bit.

And then in 2023, we struck up a conversation on the field in Miami and just talked baseball philosophy.

And I really enjoyed the conversation.

I came away with a great impression.

It matched sort of what I knew about the person and the success of his playing career.

And then last year when he became available and he turned down a couple interviews,

I thought this could be a great opportunity to bring him into the organization.

We had lost Will Venable and felt like, you know, getting Skip in here and learning from him, he's going to have opportunity throughout baseball.

I knew that this year there were going to be jobs for him available.

And so let's come in and learn from him and grow.

And, you know, one thing has led to the next.

And here we are and really excited to work with him.

I would welcome Boach back in a senior advisor role with open arms.

Absolutely have the most respect and love for Boach.

And there are a number of ways that he will continue to make this organization better.

But he's earned the right to do whatever he wants if he wants to manage or if he wants to stay at home or if he, I'm sure, is going to have opportunities with other organizations.
