view him as a ranger, and I would love to have him here, but very respectful of his decision at this point in his life.
Absolutely would love to have him back, yes.
Mack, Rich gave him specific instruction not to bring that up today, so thank you for breaking the ice.
Yeah, Jared, there's so much.
And I think one of the themes of what we've talked about today is really, you know, this role that Skip and Michael and Ian and Nick Hunley have all played and Dayton Moore have all played in helping us and advising us and at times keeping us sane.
And it's just the connection that this group has and how influential and how we all see the game the same way.
How we understand things that Skip just touched on today from
communication, preparation, alignment, execution, you know, all these things that Skip has touched on.
I mean, it's just it's there's such a an alignment is the right word.
And it gives me great confidence that moving forward, we're going to be able to give our players the very best because that's what they deserve.
We want players coming here with a goal of
winning championships.
And I have full confidence that with Skip, the staff that we put around him, the front office and what we can do to support Skip and his staff and in turn our players, that we will give them the opportunity to realize those dreams.
And that's ultimately what it's been for me.
And it's been just a real joy, you know, being on a
text message thread with these guys over the past year plus.
And one, just seeing them make fun of each other.
It's so comical and entertaining.
But secondly, to hear the real baseball discussions and how the philosophy comes out.
And I'm just so excited to work with Skip and to continue to have these relationships with Nick, Michael, Ian, Dayton, and others, much less everybody else in our organization who influences what we're about.
