And Bellinger's holding out for seven?
So the Mets want him, but they don't want him at five.
They don't even want him at five.
So what are you going to do, jack up the AAV, pay him $40, $45 million a year for two or three years just to get him away from the Yankees and get him here?
Well, then, like I said, Cody, you're an asshole because it was never about seven years.
It's a ridiculous, it's absolutely ridiculous how this all season has played out.
That if the Yankees don't get Cody Bellinger at five years and the Mets get him at two or three at a 40-plus AAV, this whole thing is just ridiculous.
And I don't even know what we're talking about anymore.
You want to talk about Juan Soto being public enemy number one and Yankee fans went out of their way to boom?
The Yankees put a 16-year deal in front of him.
And he went to the Mets for more money over one last year, which is a lot different than him telling everybody that he wanted seven years...
And he goes and he signs for three.
Because then you just lied about what you really wanted.
We all knew Soto was going to want to go out there and get the biggest bag, and that's what he got from the Mets over one less year.
So that's where we're at with this offseason.
We're still sitting here less than four weeks away from spring training and waiting on Cody Bellinger to make a decision.
And it's still, it's now three days, two or three days past when Kyle Tucker and Bo Bichette have signed.
What is he waiting for?
It just means that, honestly, the further and further we get from this, it's just like, do you even want to be a Yankee?
Are you waiting for... Are they really waiting for the Angels to jump in there and do something dumb and offer them seven years?
