I was very encouraged by the way the Yankees played baseball last night.
And then you looked at Max Fried early on in that game, and he was struggling.
We had the extra syllables there.
We talked about this during the WBC that in the last five years,
Louisa Rice has walked less times than Aaron Judge has walked in 2025.
And Max Fried walks him on four pitches.
Almost impossible to do.
That's how you know Max wasn't feeling great, especially early on in the game.
He couldn't even throw a strike to a guy that doesn't want to walk at all.
But he battled six and a third scoreless for Max Freed, grinded out a W last night.
And that's what you love to see from a guy that's an ace, is grinding out games where you might not feel your best.
You might not have your best stuff.
I think Roger Clemens was the one that said, you know, out of...
30 starts you might make in a year, five are when you feel like you're unhittable, five are when you feel like you have absolutely nothing, and the other 20 are just in the middle.
And some of them are just going to be really grinded out and try to find a way to win.
And that was how it was for Max Fried last night.
So, I mean, if you're a Yankee fan and you have anything negative to say about the game last night and how things went down on opening day, just stop.
Don't stop talking about your negativity.
Just stop watching baseball.
Because if you couldn't feel good at least for one day.
