Sell the team.
If you're telling me that 160 is the max you felt, and it wasn't, but we'll get there in a second.
If you're telling me that you felt 160 was the max that Cody Bellinger was worth and you weren't going to pay him a penny more because you felt he wasn't worth it, I still disagree with it because he was the best offensive player left on the board and you needed him.
But I would say, you know what, that's what they feel he's valued and if they don't want to pay him more than what they feel he's valued, that's one thing.

You don't think to tell me that if Juan Soto and Scott Boris knew you were willing to go punch for punch with Steve Cohen, they would have came back one more time?
You tapped out at 760 or 750, whatever the number is.
Again, it doesn't matter at this point.
You had a good pivot.
But now this offseason, we found out that it was all going to be dictated by your embarrassment.
So you were willing to let the Yankees go into 2026 with a worse team than they had in 2025 because you were embarrassed because you lost Juan Soto.
