Where's the depth coming from?

Boone's going to have this bullpen burnt out by the middle of May with some of the question marks that we have in it in the starting rotation.

Michael Kopech is a name that I've seen tossed around.

I'm supremely intrigued by that.

A guy that throws very hard can come in there and get some strikeouts.

He's had some injury history, obviously, in his career, which would be perfect for the Yankees.

But...

are they even too poor for that?

Sir Anthony Dominguez, you know, he's a little bit wild, but he would have been a nice guy to put in maybe as that second layer after Bednar and Duvall there.

He's a good pitcher.

They were out of that.

They were stunned by the amount that Luke Weaver got.

I was stunned by the amount Luke Weaver got, but Luke Weaver was a very reliable setup guy and your closer for the majority of his two years here.

You lost that.

Devin Williams is not a loss to me.

Every time I talk about how the Yankees lost the division last year, the first thing everybody wants to bring up is Devin Williams.

So that's not a loss to me.

But that whole underbelly of the bullpen, all the depth guys are gone.

They non-tendered that whole underbelly of the bullpen with the guys like Ian Hamilton and Mark Leiter Jr.

You've got to replace them from somewhere.
