And realizing that you're not going to win every short term fight, but how do you make every short term fight an attempt to to move the needle long term?
Yeah, it's true.
It's very true.
I mean, we're still going to sell that dream regardless of whether it's true.
Anyway, sorry.
Nothing like sitting in that middle seat, right?
Where you had to put the armrest back up, right?
The armrest would come down.
You're right, because you're most of your peers are two generations removed.
How is... How would you say your relationships with your... In your head, how is the relationship with your father now?
My dad died when I was 16 and the list of questions I have for him, I'm 53 now, like it's just like, you know, and you know, I'm now flying blind for the first time, meaning my son is now older than I was.
So suddenly I have a relationship with him that I can't emulate, meaning I can't look back on how did my father and I, you know, and we were fine up until, and it's always been, and the amount of questions and it's, that's why I asked that question the way I asked it about what's your relationship with him.
Grateful.
It is like, I'm still, you know, I miss him.
That's my relationship with him.
I miss him.
admit you're wrong it's okay to forgive people and so you don't have to be I think in life you get a lot of wisdom the older you get no matter what so you got you know the upside of having an older father said he lived more life mm-hmm
yeah so the advice is passing down hey he's he's been around the block not just once or twice you know right but it's sort of like look just trust me yeah right we're all this way with our kids when they go off to college you know the longer they go to college the more they're the more they discover how right their parents were right and it's but it you know you have to make experience these things yourself many times but you really did have a luxury in an older father in that sense
What kind of politician do you want people to see you as?
And do you do you want folks to compare you to your father?
