I had this conversation with him.
This is a huge issue, I think, for him in the ballot box.
I look at this race and look, you know, without getting into positions, these are three very qualified people on paper, whatever you think of them.
Do you agree with that?
Who's the Republican you're thinking of?
Well, I mean, I say that, look, what I say is he's got the resume that fits, John James.
Meaning like the average voter would say, oh, okay, he served in Congress.
She served as Secretary of State.
He served as mayor.
You would say, that's what I mean.
So let me get specific.
Do you think you could work with John James as governor?
But I assume you support Benson as a Democrat, or should I not make an assumption?
And so I just think especially where his base is.
I mean, you see the numbers.
It's just, you know, I know what he says on the trail.
Oh, I'm getting, you know, equal from both sides.
You're like every vote you get out of Detroit is a two vote game for the Republicans.
You have a strong opinion about the Democratic Senate primary, the U.S.
Senate primary, or is this since you're running your own primary, you're staying out of it?
