But one of my favorite subsets that I've started with the podcast is our podcast Time Machine segment, which is basically this week in history.

And I always try to pick something that's obviously relevant to the moment we're living in in some form or another.

Urban areas are underrepresented since the people are in that levels that out.

And a few weeks back, we did the Iranian revolution.

Which was really more of a history of sort of America and its relationship with Iran over the years when we've gotten involved.

We added a provision that said if any state has more than two districts allocated, they can, at their choice, go to multi-member districts with ranked choice voting because there's some really interesting analysis that if you –

You know, we had already published it.

We reposted it over the weekend on YouTube as a good sort of, you know, we're now suddenly this matters again.

If you have a multi-member district, it's really hard to gerrymander so that the top two are of the same race and same party all the time.

I still haven't seen anything like that on so-called legacy television or on whatever you want to refer to it.

I'm loathe to just say, oh, the mainstream media is dead.

You can do that for the top one, but it's hard to do it for the top two.

Well, look, we're in the middle of building mainstream, a new mainstream media, meaning if mainstream media is the definition of fact-based media,

And so if you get a situation where, you know, me and whoever comes in second are representing the same communities, you should, in theory, get rid of some of the polarization in Washington.

well-informed information, then yeah, excuse me of being part of the new mainstream media.

I think we're building something new here, something that is essentially truly for the mainstream, truly back-based, not trying to sort of get caught up too much in the performative.

But put it that way.

And we're open to other ideas, but that's the way that we've structured it.
