Yeah, so I'm back from my travels.
Well, I'm in between my travels.
Two Mondays ago, I was at that Monday night game, the apocalypse, the one that changed everything.
A little exaggerated.
I know I'm late to the party with this opinion here on this show.
The worst call ever?
Was it really?
This hailing of the regular referees as though the regular referees never made a bad call themselves.
Suddenly this standing ovation for these guys.
Philosophically, it is wrong to applaud.
Like we talked about the last time I was in here, who wants to be a referee?
What kind of human being has that impulse?
When you're giving these people standing ovations and the hugs and the embraces and you talk about self-serious commentators, exactly why did it catch on the notion that, hey, the National Football League players are in danger?
They're in danger.
How are they in danger?
What's going to happen?
It is like the children's book Miss Nelson is Missing where the teacher misses school and there's a substitute and then everyone realizes how much they like the real teacher.
It was parallel thinking, okay?
Michael Irvin, where does he rank in the hierarchy, Allison, for you among wide receivers?
Oh, totally at the top.
