But it's along a former railway line connecting those two beautiful towns.
It's a journey that's packed with adventure, history, spectacular scenery.
And there's the beautiful, you can cycle through the Ballyboil Tunnel, which children often take the opportunity to scream their heads off as they're going through the tunnel.
And that's a wonderful thing to witness and see.
You can cross over massive viaducts that kind of hang high above the local countryside.
There are numerous playgrounds along the way, believe it or not.
There are lovely places to stop and have an ice cream or a cup of coffee.
And as I say, you don't even need to bring your own bikes, multiple hire centres.
all along that route and you can possibly if you want to stay in Dungarvan it's a fantastic base for the weekend a lot of family friendly hotels and as I say a whole almost a service industry now that has arisen around that greenway and I was on it with my wife Niamh about I suppose now it's three or four years ago but you came across groups of children and teenagers cycling on their own
And just that gaggle of noise and laughter and fun.
And because their parents could trust that while they were on that, the only thing they were going to encounter was other bicycles and it's perfectly safe.
So it's a real, I think, you know, anybody who brings their children.
It's completely flat.
Okay.

But de facto, it's built on an old rail line, so by definition, it's flat.
And actually, there's a little section there of what they call the Sewer Valley Railway, where they have an old railway carriage converted into a cafe, and children can go and get a sense of what one of those carriages looked like 50 or 100 years ago.
Um, it's just a place where you can relax, know that it's safe and everybody, I suppose, kind of finishes the day wanting to do it all over again.
That's the sense that I got from the families that were on that route that day and from all the families I've spoken to.
For that, Brendan, I think we have to head west to the original.
