It's the sheer speed that she can make these things happen.
Ingratiate herself, get in there, and then there's the attempt at manipulation.
Like many con artists, there are a lot of things we don't know about her.
But I think we can assume that she must have had some quite highly developed personal qualities for her to, I suppose, be accepted so quickly in the roles she may have just composed for herself on the spot.
Because he knows what he's looking for.
And he's seen it before.
And that's what I'm struck by because she had dozens of identities.
But when I hear this list, the psychologist, the property investor, the love guru, a minister, a businesswoman, they are things that would come up again and again.
I suppose they lend themselves in a sense to people who want to reinvent themselves or to invent themselves.
George, I want to talk about that because, okay, it is illegal no matter where you are to pose as a qualified psychologist.
I think I could set myself up as a spiritual leader, even some sort of church man, by simply setting up my own church.
I think I would struggle at the love guru thing.
I would give it a go.
And a property investor, I suppose as long as you're not telling people that you're a qualified financial advisor with some sort of certification, it is not strictly, in some of these cases, it's not people sometimes live a fantasy life, but...
The reason why we're talking about this case and the reason why Julia Holmes became famous is because she was a con artist.
