I took it on the chin.

I offered to drop him at the airport to sort of be the bigger person because at that point I was devastated, but I was more than happy to sacrifice my happiness for him because

I thought maybe it'll just mean we'll be in a good place by the time he's back.

I sent him an Instagram message and then I blocked him.

I blocked him on everything, which was the first time I'd done that.

And I came back after a couple hours to a very long email from him apologising, telling me that he...

was so lonely there and he'd really loved my company.

And he had never responded to me the way that he did when I sent him the Instagram message and blocked him.

The email that he sent me, I'd never heard him say things that he said in that before.

He really seemed like he was

scrambling because he was scared he was going to actually lose me because that was the first time that I had ever put my foot down and just been like, no, we are done.

I don't want to see you again.

I think that scared him because he was losing someone that would stand by him through anything.

And me being an absolute idiot, I booked a flight for two days later for $1,500, which is $1,000 more than what my original ticket cost.

But I went over and met him there.

It was like we were a couple again.

We were having so much fun.

We were going to little bars and he would get up and play with live bands and stuff.

It was a great time.

We were riding around on a scooter, got in some trouble, and we were just having a really good time.
