Okay, so during this time, while she's working on her novel, she was introduced to this man, John Gregory Dune.

He worked at Time Magazine.

He was a writer and he was also kind of a self-declared outsider, but he is very different than her.

They're very similar in so many ways, writers, outsiders, but he is very like loud and like will tell you his opinion right away.

And she's more like,

a cat like watching from the sidelines.

She was introduced to him to edit her novel.

And John was the younger brother of Dominic Dune, who was a writer, investigative journalist, and a Hollywood producer who was like already in the Hollywood scene making movies.

So Joan was actually dating another man at this time.
