And I used to hear songs in my head and then just try and make them.
And that was what I did at first.
And I used to kind of write funny, I used to write poems or what I thought was poetry, which real poets showed and told me that's not really poetry.
They were just words that rhymed, which turns out to be spoken word.
Yeah, which is like, just like, I guess it's just, that's actually just words with a sort of heartbeat to it, which makes sense then because like, that's what like actors sort of work with all sorts of texts.
So I guess all of it just ties in.
And then I eventually did get into drama school and
you know eventually and I did that but like in terms of making my own thing first or writing my own thing first it was just because in drama school they made us do a thing called an end of year assessment where you had to make 20 minutes of entertainment on a stage and work with all the other courses in the college so there was stage management, theatre design and
There was like all sorts of courses there, actually.
There was musicians and opera singers as well, which you could also maybe ask to be in something, which was cool.
But there was everyone doing the kind of crafty stuff then, like, you know, set building, stage design, all that kind of thing and lighting.
And so that was great.
So right from the get go, I didn't realize I was learning how to collaborate and build stuff together with other people.
And I really feel so lucky that I went to Royal Welsh College because of that, because I wouldn't have learned that in a college in Ireland.
Like maybe you would now.
I don't know what the courses are like now, but I was so glad that I decided to go there and do that.
That was my first screen thing.
Actually, I didn't write it for myself.
I wrote it for other girls to play.
So I sent it to like Rebecca Grimes, Shauna Karras, like loads of really more established actresses at the time.
