In March of 2020, I gave a speech at the business school in Melbourne and got a phone call that morning from my wife in New York saying, have you followed what's going on in that part of the world? You need to get yourself on an airplane and come home. I was headed to Singapore and then up to China. Needless to say, I did not make it to Singapore or to China.

And so as I think about 2020, which was right when you became chief executive, I think, the other thing I think about is the bushfires in Australia and the impact that had, as did the fires a year later in Brazil and the Amazon, which had happened before. We were all sitting in our homes thinking about our health and thinking about our environment. That's a heck of a challenging start to be CEO.
