Thank you so much for bestowing your forgiveness upon me, but I'm good.

But you know, the thing that I remember more than the on-camera stuff was after the interview was over with, we go backstage and Joy Behar pulls me off to the side.

My wife was there with me.

And she's probably the most, I mean, they're all really anti-Trump on there for sure, but I mean, she's like vehemently, you know, very leftist, anti-Trump.

And she said to me, what's a nice young man like you doing working for a guy like Donald Trump?

And in the moment I kind of played it off as, oh, well, I'm probably not as nice as you think I am.

And, you know, we just kind of like laughed it off, but that kind of like stuck with me after I left, because the real question that she's getting at, I think is important for everyone to think about.

How can you love someone with whom you disagree?

Or how can you support someone?

even when you disagree with some of their actions, some of the things that they do.

And the answer to that question is really a lot more simple than I had really thought about prior to that, which is it's easy.

I've been doing the same thing with myself my entire life.

Paul writes about in the New Testament, the thing that I want to do, I can't do.

And yet the thing that I don't want to do, I keep doing.

I'm going around and around.

He's like wrestling with, you know, I can't bring myself to do the right thing.

But for all of us, how much grace have we extended ourselves and all the things that we've screwed up in the past, and yet you can't find it within yourself to extend that grace to anybody else?

People ask me about Donald Trump all the time.

He did this, that, or the other that I disagree with.

And how could you work for the guy when he did this, that, or the other?
