Is that the saying?
I usually hear people say this all the time.
Be like a duck and let the water roll off your back.
just let it roll off your back.
I, when I'm not complaining, it's not because I'm holding things in and it's not because I feel a certain way and I feel like I need to hold it in what I'm not complaining is because I'm just not going to let something affect me.
And it's not as easy said than done.
When I say I'm not going to let something affect me, I am consciously making the decision to not let this thing affect me.
Sometimes I get it.
Life pushes you to a point where you just have to complain.
For example, recently in my flat, I didn't have hot water for over one month.
And at that point, I was definitely complaining about it.
But I was complaining about it to the person who's responsible for fixing it.
You know, so in that case, the complaining actually serves a purpose.
But if you're just complaining for complaining sake, or if you're just complaining with no purpose at all,
I personally just keep it to a minimum.
Even in situations where I am unable to remediate or unable to find alternative situations, in those situations, even so, I try not to complain because there's nothing I can do about it, right?
So complaining will just make me feel worse and will feed this negative energy versus I like to quack, quack away like a duck.
Actually, I have a duck right here.
right here like a duck let it roll off your back let the water just roll off your back let all the negative stuff just roll off your back this is yapping by the way i love him he was gifted to me by two of my friends hejun and michael all right let's move on to the next thing i stopped doing which highly improved the quality of my life is i stopped talking about my insecurities
I like to think of insecurities like pimples.
