I often write a verse or a little poem or something that I turn into something.
But more often than not, it's I let the music inform what it is.
And then I'm humming gibberish and stuff.
And I'll record the entire song.
And sort of be... Just such the melody?
Sometimes I'll get to the end of the day and it'll have been, you know, six hours and I'm kind of burnt and I've got the whole song where there's no lyrics.
And the whole thing is just like, this didn't happen for Baby Blue, but like, for example, it would have just been like I was humming.
It'd be a version where like there was no lyric.
And then you go, what does this feel like to me?
You know, and that's how a lot of it happens for me.
No, it was like one of the last ones I've done.
It was one of the most recent songs I've written.
No, When It Comes To Loving You was after.
There was another song we were going to put out with Baby Blue and then we went in and made When It Comes To Loving You like the following week and I was like, this should go with it.
