What have you done?
Joyous moment.
But it's a little bit emotional.
What did you do?
All right, I'll tell you.
The record company gave us a deal for a single.
That's how much confidence they had in us.
They said, well, we'll let them make a single.
So I made Who Can It Be Now, and it went to number two, so they thought, well, we'll let them make an album.
So there are a few things that came together at the same time, synchronistically, which caused our success, I think, contributing factors to it.
There was an American record producer in Sydney at the time, and he was brought to see us by Peter Carpenter, who signed the band, and he said he wanted to produce us, and he was a very good record producer.
He knew what he was doing in the studio, because we did not.
So he was very good at producing the songs and producing us.
But I think it was one of those things where I'd been dreaming about this for 15 years.
I'd been kind of plotting, scheming, and we were quite confident in ourselves.
We were quite self-assured in the sense that we thought that we had something different.
And of course, we'd been playing to live audiences before we made a record.
And the live audiences kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger, even though we hadn't made a record.
So we were playing to sometimes a thousand people in Melbourne.
And that was ridiculous.
