Yes, absolutely.

Well, it was two of them.

I was, until I was four, I was in a, a little, well, it was kind of, it was a nice house, really.

It was, uh, called a Drossen Road, just up from the beach in a small town called Saltcoats in Ayrshire, Scotland.

And, um,

And then my father and mother bought a shop, a music shop, in the main street called Hamilton Street.

And we lived behind and above the shop.

And my brother and I shared a bedroom.

Well, they were musical people, my father especially.

He was a great singer and a dancer when he was on the stage when he was young, a teenager.

And then he became a piano tuner.

He gave up singing on the stage when he was, I think he got traumatised by when his voice broke.

And he did an apprenticeship as a piano tuner.

And I think that they were both from the East End of Glasgow, my mother and father.

So they wanted to.

have a better life, you know, for the family.

So they were very hardworking people.

So they thought, well, we'll buy a music shop, you know, and that'll be a good business.

And it was the only one in the town.
