I mean, again, the private route is always going to be extortionate.
If an assessment is good, there's a lot of work in it.
You know, I'm not suggesting it merits that amount.
But if you're getting a good thorough assessment, like...
Going through your school reports, going through your self-report, report from someone else, all that sort of stuff.
And there's lots of people going for ADHD assessments who come out as not ADHD.
We probably don't hear from them.
But where it's going is, I think, and like, again, this might be a bit controversial, like
The things that have helped me in my life did not involve medication.
They didn't involve anything expensive.
They involved a degree of kind of brushing up on my own knowledge of myself and my knowledge of that condition and making choices based on that.
how I could do that to better navigate the world.
And I think that's something that would be useful for many people to learn how to do.
But when you're a child and you're a teenager, you don't have the autonomy to do that.
So you need your parents to help you to do that.
I was lucky in that I had that.
And again, I don't want to suggest that, you know, I'm a lot luckier than most in the sense.
