He said the referee's match report is sacrosanct and...

You know, that's a line that actually really annoys me anyway, you know, the referees.

Because we have to then just turn off something in our minds, you know, just pretend like we didn't see it.

Wait for referees, report to referee, but tell us everything that happened.

And Gareth Burns, I get it, and he thinks that this is actually protecting referees and giving them more power.

But for me, it actually puts him under more spotlight because now I'm asking, well, why are two referees treating someone similar differently?

Why is a referee missing something?

Or why is a referee ignoring something in his match report and saying that he dealt with it when it didn't look like he dealt with it?

And if he did deal with it, why did he not deal with it properly?

You know, the referee's match report also got us into that situation during the league with Michael Murphy, the punch.

But it was dealt with on the pitch, but it wasn't.

It was dealt with incorrectly because David Goff didn't know what he was dealing with.

He went over and spoke to Michael Murphy about the wrong thing, something Michael Murphy didn't do.

He didn't speak to him about something he actually did do.

I just so happen to think that the 12-week punishment is ridiculous.

I think Gerard Brennan has been treated very harshly.

I think Jim McGuinness getting a 12-week punishment would have been very extreme as well.
