oh man it's bringing about hot flashes yeah we i grew up pharaoh to finish hog farm you know a lot of our listeners are familiar with that new ones this will probably be one of the first times they got to hear that and with being pharaoh to finish you did everything everything obviously from we even developed our own guilts so the number of different feed rations that we had
was a laundry list.
So yes, Saturdays and Sundays, or if there was a day off of school or an afternoon of school when I got old enough and could lift a 50-pound bag of pre-mix, that just became my job.
And whether the grinder mixer, we had an arts way.
It was on the 4,000.
You know, it didn't quite get the hammer mill spinning as fast and cracking the corn is fine, or you had it on the 4240, which made a little better feed.
It was still a 8 to 10 load Saturday, which took, you know, a good four to six hours of your time.
And...
I will tell you what, the grinders that we had never missed a beat.
I would pray for it to break down, and we'd have to order feed, and they didn't, and they wouldn't.
Now, I've squealed a lot of belts, might have plugged a couple of hammer mills, but ultimatelyβ You'll have that.
It was operator error more than anything else, or under-horsepowered with a John Deere 4000 on it.
