Two candidates advanced to the Republican runoff primary in June, Georgia Lieutenant Governor Bird Jones and health care billionaire Rick Jackson.

President Trump has endorsed Jones.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Beijing to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The head of the World Health Organization says the spread of the Ebola virus strain, Bundabuya, is a public health emergency of international concern, but Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says it is not a pandemic emergency.
