Meanwhile, the Associated Press reports Pakistan has received a copy of what's been described as a 15-point peace plan from the Trump administration to Iran about ending the war.
But officials in Iran have consistently denied that any negotiations are underway.
A spokesman for Iran's Revolutionary Guard asked the U.S.
if it was negotiating with itself.
No peace plan has been publicized.
Still, NPR's Diya Hadid reports, Pakistan's prime minister says his country is ready to host talks to help settle the conflict.
A deal to fund at least part of the Department of Homeland Security may be on the horizon.
