So obviously you've had a very long career as we talked about offside, offside the podcast, but really your most recent one was with the New York Mets, as we've discussed.
And you got a chance to take them to the World Series back in.
OK, so you were a longtime Mets manager.
That was your most recent gig.
Right.
And back in 2015, you got a chance to take them to the World Series.
Right.
You played a hell of a Kansas City Royals team that ended up obviously winning the whole thing.
However, take me inside that 2015 Mets run.
You know, what did that clubhouse feel like when everything started to click for you?
So I always find that interesting.
Like you said, there's no secrets in baseball, right?
And Cespedes did go in with kind of a little bit of a reputation back in those days, right?
But the fact that he came into New York and was such a difference maker for that team, what did you see as, again, a longtime manager at this point, what did you see in him that you're like, okay, this guy does fit well with us?
So how obviously the 2015 world series happens, the Mets ends up losing to the world.
As we said, what was the reaction from you as a manager and in the clubhouse collectively when that happened?
I have said this so many times.
I've said it publicly.
I've said it to friends.
I think when baseball teams specifically, when they have those days off, they absolutely lose an edge.
