You were the assistant hitting coach there this year, 2025, this past season.
I made a tweet back in September.
I was noticing some parallel lines, as we mentioned, about the White Sox improvement that they showed in 2025.
You know, 2024, the Marlins, they lost 100 games.
2025, they came in and, you know, a couple more series wins and they would have been right in the middle of that third wildcard spot, as we know.
And now, as we also know, you know, the Marlins were responsible for literally sending the New York Mets packing that last series.
Do you see the similarities that I see between the White Sox and the Marlins that the Sox can make a potential jump the same way the Marlins did in twenty twenty six?
Now, what could be a little bit different, and it's actually a little more encouraging for the White Sox and White Sox fans, is the Marlins were part of that sort of tough NL East where teams are spending money.
Obviously, the Mets, even though they failed miserably, they spent a lot of money.
The Phillies are always going to be involved.
Atlanta is always going to be involved.
Then you move to the AL Central, which I know you're familiar with because you worked with the Twins previously.
There's a little more room to make some noise, I feel like, in the Central compared to the East.
So...
How do you see parallel lines or no parallel lines between the AL Central and the NL East?
I mean, could the Sox even do more of a jump than the Marlins did with being in that division?
and it has to get better yep but it will get better they are and then it turned in like they are getting better we are getting better right yes like we're playing good baseball literally good right a couple more series wins and they would have been battling with the reds and the mets for that last spot which is crazy to think about and it's interesting because they were also a second half team right they were a second half team and i could almost see the socks if
Second half of 2026 really turning on now that everybody's gelled together.
I could see them making a similar push, which is why I made that comparison back in September.
I'm like, there's some parallel lines here.
