And then they always have these pictures of like cows and green pastures.
And I mean, they just try to get you there.
And it's called greenwashing.
So I say, number one, always read the ingredient label.
If it is a long laundry list of ingredients.
Just already put it back on the shelf because you know that it's going to be bad.
Exactly.
And I think this makes it really easy and simple for people.
If you're reading that ingredient label and you see something on there that you think, I have no idea where I would buy this in the store.
So for example, if you see like BHT or even natural flavors, you see natural flavors on there and you go, what aisle would natural flavors be in?
I can't find it in the grocery store.
So that would be a hint to put it back.
So I would say first read the ingredients.
And if you could not technically buy all those ingredients at home and make it at home, then I would put that one on the shelf.
And then look around because generally there's going to be a cleaner option right next to it.
Exactly.
Shouldn't be eaten.
It came from a factory.
That to me is a major red flag that that is an ultra-processed food.
So that has been my number one rule forever.
