That's where this whole cult thing started at Essendon, which I refer to it as as much as a footy club.
Hey, you've seen- I just don't know.
No, I don't think it is, or I didn't mean it to be as a negative, Hutchie, because, I mean, the Colt can be a very powerful beast in a footy club landscape, and it was until 20 years ago.
But it hasn't been now for some time, and as they're trying to mop up the problems within the Colt, and just on the course of the week, Hutchie, I've had my own opinion change on a few things on this front.
My opinion's different to my beliefs, but...
I'm all for James Heard being given a chance now, only because, well, for a number of reasons.
He's not going to be able to move on, and that's the individual side of it, but this club will not be able to move on unless it gives him another go at it.
And I know that makes no sense, and I have attempted to articulate that in a column to which you refer on afl.com.au, and look, it may not make any sense in how I've attempted to articulate that, but
This footy club is a unique one, Hutchie.
It is a cult in my eyes.
It's a broken operation right now.
And I just feel in the course of a week, I know you went straight to James Hurd last week when Brad Scott was announced as being sacked as the Essendon coach.
And you went straight there.
And obviously that's your old news antenna.
And you were right because in that moment, he became the story and still is a week and a half later, a week and a day later.
Your views on it from afar?
But again, on the run last week, as that story was unfolding in real time and in terms of our program, you said it was a one in three chance.
That's how hard you went in the minutes after it broke.
Do you still think it is a one in three chance?
