And I believe that, too.
I always viewed turnovers...
As a team problem, not an individual problem.
And I directed it that way in my criticism.
But where Glenn was super good and effective was holding people accountable.
in the dressing room amongst their peers.
He's not going to single you out on the bench and yell at you.
I mean, Hitch was pretty negative on the bench at times in terms of his criticism of plays and players.
Glenn was not like that at all.
But in the dressing room, he would protect you
publicly on the camera and in the media mostly unless it was reoccurring yeah unless it was reoccurring exactly but he would hold you accountable in the dressing room amongst your teammates and you know i've said it many times before the winners they want that level of accountability they want the coach to recognize these repetitive mistakes and go after them and put pressure on them
and that's where he was really good.
And, I mean, I don't know whether that's a part of coaching.
I tried to bring it to what I did as a coach, and at times I would go like Glenn would do and go through everybody sitting down on the โ
in the dressing room at their stall and talked about what they needed to do or compliment them.
But just so everybody knew that they weren't getting away with anything, that we were seeing exactly what was happening.
And I found those instances a couple times a year to be really impactful.
It's much different.
You have to...
You know, you have to explain what you're doing and why you're doing it.
