And just coming back to that Roqueby median house price, because they've mentioned Roqueby at $480,000 for a house.
I mean, that's not too bad, isn't it?
It's under half a million dollars.
People's expectations probably just have to be realigned a little bit in terms of Rokeby, but you're in the market for under half a mil.
And Brighton Estate, this is a new estate.
Four in every five homes sold in this development have been snapped up by first home buyers.
There was a prediction that was made back in March, and that was that the price of $1.2 million is anticipated for housing in Hobart by the year 2027.
Now, I should sort of point out that there's three possible scenarios with this.
The first scenario forecast is at a growth of 3% annually.
The second one assumes that prices will increase at the average rates seen over the last five years.
And the third scenario predicts a price increase based on the average rates observed during the last 10 years.
But that's not too bad, is it?
1.2 mil for a median house price.
Well, I guess, you know, we'll have a conversation back in 2027, Barry, and you can say, yeah, I told you so.
