We are the Commission for the Regulation of Utilities, CRU, Ireland's independent energy and water regulator.

We are here to make sure that you know that you have rights and protections when dealing with your energy supplier.

Your rights include what level of service you can expect,

understanding how you were billed, what to do if you are having trouble paying your bill, and how you can make a complaint to your supplier.

And if you can't resolve an issue with your supplier, let us know and we will help you to find a solution.

We monitor how suppliers are treating their customers and create new customer protections for any problems that we might find.

We also provide advice on how you can play your part in the climate transition by choosing more low carbon options.
