Well, let's say the Sharks take Ivers Stedberg at number two.
Well, I think that would turn around.
That would probably make William Macklin.
uh maybe expendable um for for next year's team and you know obviously you know william you know he's he's you know just finished his third year as professional and you know he's he's just going to starting another three-year contract uh next year a pretty reasonable cap at just under six million dollars um i definitely could see something along those lines where maybe william uh is used in the trade and sort of helped upgrade the defense that's definitely that's
and, you know, sort of a possibility for the Sharks to do so.
Maybe he's the young guy that kind of does that, you know, former connect Adam Gaudette.
You know, seeing another guy who really gets used in that situation, I'm not sure.
But you've got some cards to play here if you're Mike Greer in terms of trying to, you know, improve your team for next season, especially on defense.
Well, it's meant everything, you know, to this organization.
I mean, obviously, you guys remember back in the old days or, you know, 15, 20, 10, 15, 20 years ago where the Shark Tank was full pretty much every night.
And then you get to a period of, you know, four or five years where the attendance is really down and
And, you know, sometimes the building looks half full at most kind of thing.
So having Macklin celebrating sort of joined the franchise, sort of re-energized the fan base.
Now you're seeing, you know, attendance is way up over it was, you know, a couple of years ago.
Season ticket sales, just everything along those lines just sort of helped.
re-energize the fan base and sort of get this team back to where it was a few years ago.
So he's meant everything.
He's the most recognizable figure hockey player in the Bay Area since you've got some guys like, you know, Logan Couture, Joe Kowalski, Brett Burns, and Joe Thornton and Patrick Morrow, those type of players who were kind of synonymous with Sharks hockey for so long.
Now you've got a young core to build around like with Macklin and
and Will Smith, and, you know, maybe to a slightly lesser extent, you know, Michael Mesa and Sam Dickinson, too.
