So no harm, no foul there.
Excellent, excellent broadcaster.
His power is unusual.
He seems to intimidate or β not by his doing.
There's just a perceived intimidation of β
offending him or taking him on in the Sydney media and in the Sydney world.
He runs β if you talk to people in rugby league, they say he has all the power at the clubs he works at.
He won't take a backward step.
He runs over people, and that's his style.
That's what's made him a magnificent recruiter and developer and player over the years.
So he's very good at both jobs, very good identifier of talent and an excellent media performer.
But he's never really been one to be silenced.
Interestingly, his criticisms have β and this is on the public record, it's not speaking out of school β the NRL have reacted at times in the past to things that he said and have been public about some of their views on his views.
So whether he thought he was doing the right thing at a delicate time in those discussions, which is probably β I don't think it was a non-directive, but I suspect he probably thought β
