Amidst Peter Vlandy's ongoing negotiations for the NRL TV rights, what is a more valuable game to both broadcasters on both TV and radio?
I see he's gone to market and stated a price tag of $4 billion over five years.
Can't remember another CEO putting a figure out there as publicly during a rights negotiation.
This would be larger than the AFL's current deal.
Every other deal done this century, the AFL has handed a bigger check.
Do broadcasters look at average audience or reach metrics as a more valuable proposition, or is it a combination of both?
As both clubs would claim they are beating the other in each metric.
What else do broadcasters, both TV and radio, look for going into negotiations?
