I thought it started Wednesday.
Do you like opening ceremonies?
I mean, I can take it or leave it.
I don't put it on the calendar.
Oh, so much, so much, Bob.
It's just unbelievable.
Yeah, this whole week has been so surreal ever since the announcement came that Mike was hired as coach.
I mean, once that announcement was made, my phone immediately started blowing up.
People asked me, is that true?
Is that real?
And I said, I will know for sure when I get the phone call from my mom.
If she talks to Mrs. McCarthy and she says it happened, then it's a true story and within minutes.
Because I think the story was on Twitter.
And then a few minutes later, I got the text from my mom saying, yep, Mike is the new Steelers head coach.
And that's when I knew it was real.
Well, yeah, like a lot of families, Sam McCarthy's had a tragedy in their family, and that affected them deeply.
