You have to leave the fighter to get back to their stall.
You can't touch him.

And then they come over, they put the seat down, the stool down.

He's just not conscious for this whole minute.
He goes back out and gets TKO'd almost immediately afterwards.
But Herb has a habit of waving the fight off.
