Whereas with men, I think we kind of get the urge and the temptation to try and bet the firm on something that might not be sensible or try to get rich quick.

And it's, I think, you know, for me, I think it boils down to a confidence thing.

But actually, when you strip it back, it's nearly more important that women are investing than men because, you know, women live longer on average.

Women are more likely to be in part-time work for longer periods of time in their career.

So when you look at all of that, especially the life expectancy, you know, from a mathematical perspective, if you live longer, you need to have more financial resources to fund your lifestyle.

Yeah.

So for that reason, we should be encouraging women to be investing early, as early as possible.

Yeah, so the online ecosystem in Ireland has really developed over the last, I'd say, five to 10 years.

Historically, you'd be looking at something like Davey or GoodBuddy, some of the more traditional brokers if you wanted to get involved in the financial markets.

Nowadays, similar to what we have in savings, we have a lot of European brokers

financial technology companies or fintechs coming and offering their products here in Ireland.

The likes of Revolut and the neobanks and things like that.

But specifically from an investing perspective, you're kind of looking at players like Trading 212, Trade Republic, De Giro,

Lightyear, Interactive Brokers, IG, and then the neobanks themselves, Revolut, Bunk and N26 all have investing functionality built into their apps too.

So there's a ton of options.

And really, I think as a beginner, when you're faced with all of those options, you're kind of wondering to yourself, what one's best for me?
