And I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but if he truly has a gambling addiction, the irreparable harm of letting him play, because as we know, addiction without consequence is where it snowballs.
And it reminds me of the arch leaser story from years ago where people enabled him to ruin his life.
And second point, if we give him the benefit of the doubt, and let's say all the betting is behind him, it still causes problems if he plays, because every fishy-looking interception or suspicious-looking fumble is going to be an uproar, people looking for an investigation.
Yeah, this is a really slippery slope here.
And precedent had been set for athletes to lose a year of eligibility.
And they were betting $10 to $20.
It just feels like you can play your way out of just about anything now.
And maybe that's going to be the case.
But I still think conferences should be overseeing their teams, not the NCAA.
And this is where the Big 12 should be governing these teams.
And I'm sure they do, but this is the NCAA.
