This is not about aid.
This is about creating media stunts.
And it's unfortunate that one media stunt was answered with another media stunt.
And it's unfortunate that Ben-Gavir's actions tainted what otherwise was a very professional treatment of the situation by the Israeli Defense Forces and the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
And it does give us an indication, doesn't it, of what might be happening?
Nobody should be mistreated, but certainly the Israeli hostages who were taken from their beds on October 7th were treated infinitely worse than the Palestinian terrorism detainees were treated.
But I'm not in favor of anybody, whether they are a terrorist or a civilian, being mistreated or mishandled by anybody.
Well, again, these are the kind of incidents that should never happen.
They should have been treated professionally and sent back to their countries.
Like the previous flotilla detainees, by the way, were treated.
And, you know, we've been concerned in general, by the way, here in Israel.
by the foreign policy direction of your government, and that it seems overly sympathetic to dangerous terrorist organizations such as Hamas.
But that's an issue aside.
Okay.
That is an issue aside.
When you're talking about a minister like Ben-Gvir, he does not think about foreign policy, and everything he does is a media stunt for, unfortunately, for a populist domestic audience that votes for him.
I'm not sure how many of them will still vote for him, but...
But it's unfortunate that it interferes in our actual foreign policy.
I think journalists should absolutely have access.
In the past, I know it's been incredibly difficult.
