President Trump now says he may delay his planned trip to China, which is scheduled for the end of the month because of the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran.

In an interview Sunday with the Financial Times, he also called on China to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz because China receives a significant amount of oil from Iran.

Meanwhile, economic and trade talks between Washington and Beijing began Sunday in Paris.

The negotiations are expected to be a table-setting event for the summit between Trump and China's leader, Xi Jinping.

In a social media post Sunday night, President Trump accused news organizations of what he said is treason for their reporting on the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran.

Specifically, he cited without evidence that the Wall Street Journal and others have published Iranian-created AI photos of alleged war battles showing Iran attacking U.S.

vessels.
