I think, in a way, it's just counting triples, not even a sabermetric stat.

A triple is the best play in baseball, except, you know, for an inside-the-park home run.

Right.

Because there just aren't that many of them.

But triples are the coolest thing, I think, to play in a game.

Triples are more fun than home runs because most of the time during a home run, they're just trotting.

A triple, there's some real stress and question about the play.

And it's the longest sustained play where there's uncertainty in baseball.

So triples are my favorite stat in baseball.

It's boring, but it's probably going to be the Dodgers, and I'm just going to be annoyed by that.

It's hard.

I mean, he's someone who is actually in the company.

He does have a plausible shot.

at at a triple crown uh we've only had the one recently with cabrera i mean a lot of guys haven't done that uh trout had a chance he didn't judge had a chance he didn't so it'd be a big plaudit for alvarez whit of course is in uh the mvp race uh and he'd probably be my pick if the season ended today uh writers tend to not be as team specific with the awards as they used to be i certainly never am but i'm an nl voter so i don't even i'm not going to get a chance to do that uh

I'd love to see someone like Kevin McGonigal or Dylan Dingler just sneak in some MVP bits.

I know the Tigers are Royals competitors.

It'd be fun.

I just want to see an MVP named Dylan Dingler.

It's such a fun name.
