Dan Wiederer

The second third rounder with the Bears making some trades.

The wide receiver, Zavian Thomas, out of LSU.

Fourth round pick, cornerback Malik Muhammad out of Texas.

Fifth round pick, Keyshawn Elias, linebacker, ASU.

And in the seventh round, the Bears go with defensive tackle Jordan Vandenberg out of Georgia Tech.

And maybe, Dan, that's a good place to start the defensive line as it pertains to the draft because it's really what everybody is talking about.

Because the Bears waited until that point to take somebody on the defensive line.

We all know it.

We all get it.

The Bears need better pass rush.

They need better pressure.

They need all of that.

And they just did not strike in the second round.

And just from my perspective of it, Dan, with that rush of...

of edges and or defensive linemen that were going off the board in the second round your TJ Parkers did Cade McDonald Mason Thomas Cassius Howell uh Christian Miller Derek Moore Zion Young on and on and on um it appears pretty clear to me that the Bears were I know there's some cost prohibitive prohibitiveness going on but

I just don't think they were in love enough with any of those guys to make a maneuver up the board to go grab one.

That's what I think the perspective should be.

And I think I'm feeling more perspective from Bears fans in that regard, too.

I do get it.

It sucks that help is not on the way as we speak right now as far as the edge rushers or the interior.
