When I came out to my mum when I was 18, she said, you should hitchhike around Ireland.

answer to coming out and i said okay you she said hitchhike you want to go to the folk festivals i was like oh your answer to me coming out is dogging and a fiddle like do you know what i mean and i but i hitchhiked around ireland for for three four months and it was gorgeous like when made my way to milltown melby and kilkey and then up to connemara um and it was gorgeous met so many gorgeous people it's not the traditional route and i absolutely loved it you know

Do you know, that was a journey, though, because I know, you know, like if I was Jamaican and then second generation Jamaican, you're kind of allowed an access to that.

But obviously, being from London, you've got the colonizer's accent and given the history with Ireland.

And also because there are so many second gen Irish people who...

are like, my mum's from Ireland.

And I was like, which Ireland is your mum from?

They don't have a clue.

And they're kind of like Disney Irish.

Oh, I love Guinness.

I love drinking on St.

Patrick's Day.

I was like, what are you chatting about?

It's an embarrassment.

So I thought, well, I don't want to be them, but I also don't want to be... Also, I'm not Irish and I'm not going to be seen as Irish fully.

Do you know what I mean?

So I don't want to be unrealistic.
