Talk to me about your perception of the media and your portrayal in the media.

It's more just, like I've again talked to some politicians who just generally say...
I fecking hate the media.
You never gave me a fair crack at a whip.
I'm always caricatured as a certain one way or the other.
And then some people say, no, it doesn't matter.
It's water off a duck's back.
Yeah.
My good friend and colleague, John Lee, always gave me the adage of being a political reporter.
He says, the only job you can go in and kick a politician straight in the goolies and they have to come back and talk to you three weeks later.
Do you think it's fair for people to say you were a failure in housing?
Do I think it's fair for people to... Because ultimately there's that perception that you were promising 40,000 last year and it was less than that.
I'm quite happy that I got to accept that.
People can rightly be cynical around politics about lies being told.
I'm not saying you lie or anybody like it, but a projection was put out there was the basis of a lot of the literature and a lot of the messaging around the election campaign.
And it turns out to not quite be there.
So it has it has perceived in particular if you listen to the opposition, it fuels a cynicism in politics.
