If you're trying to get guys, especially from teams around Europe,
All of a sudden, you can't even line up the windows of when everybody might be leaving or when everybody might be going, you know, like, let's say that everyone primary.
movement that's going to happen uh in for for europe in the summer they're not going to want to release players in the winter um and that's when all of mls needs to add players to their roster and so that's kind of you know they're at this kind of impasse with that plus it takes some calendar eyes off of the uh
You know, they're kind of clashing in the biggest games, biggest weekend.
I think MLS Cup weekend for the last few years has been the same weekend as collegiate conference football championship weekend.
And so, you know, that takes eyeballs away from big games and stuff.
And so kind of pushing it down the road, you know, they'll have some weekends that'll be theirs in late spring where they can have all the eyes on their big postseason.
And so as a whole, I think it's the right decision for MLS going forward.
Yeah, especially when they have the contracts set up.
You've got some players where they are under contract for the sprint season, others that aren't.
And so if you're still with that kind of window, how do they treat players coming in?
I think there's a lot of question marks for how the league's going to handle it, but I do think...
They're kind of in the right track where starting next summer or a year from now, they'll be in the ballpark to kind of be playing in the same sandbox at least at the same time that all the big kids are going to be playing there in terms of the European teams for transfers and bringing players in.
should help them a little bit more so in the global market too.
Because you have guys, even last year, the summer window, guys would come in and they had maybe 10 games, 10 MLS matches to actually make an impact on their team.
And then they don't play again until late February, early March.
And that kind of hampers some of the momentum and stuff like that.
So all that, everybody comes in in the summer and they've got the whole year with them.
And it just kind of works out and makes sense for everybody to get all aligned.
