You've never heard of Cobbler Road. That's okay. We're just south of 210 and 291. Okay? That's where we are. It's Independence, Liberty, right in between there. Incredibly easy place to find. Very easy place to find. If you just have to get off the road, you'll see all the RVs. Swing on by here. Come on by. We'll be here until 6 o'clock tonight.

Stephen was just over at the Hy-Vee on 23rd Street earlier today, so we've been all over Independence Day. And that's where I was listening to, as I was driving up a little bit of the KU game, it's on 1510, which is our building still in Independence. So I'm home here is where I am. I was telling the guys up here, I was having all these little ā Like deja vus in my life as we drove.
I drove up to 91 because my first house that I bought when my wife and I lived off to 91 and then crossed up over 23rd Street. My parents church used to go to is down there. La Bonite Park. We play home run derby was right over here. And this gas station right close used to have a bar on the back of it. So no one here has a bar anymore.
But the gas station right on the corner right next to us had that because it's always fun to go to fun little bars and independents. But you want to have fun today, you come to Unlimited RV. We're going to be here until 6 o'clock, and it's going to be a good time.

Like I said, let's see. Easton says we have, well, we've got a Blackstone five-piece professional griddle toolkit to give away. We've got some QT gift cards that you could use for whatever you want. Have been talking to Matt Beasley a lot on Fridays, but Matt's out, so we're going to keep that soccer going there. We'll talk to Daniel Sperry. Danny Klinkscale. going to be here and get unleashed at 3 o'clock. And then I asked Kyle, I said, the drill's coming at 4. Do you have anyone in? We have a Daniel followed by a Daniel. I said, you got any Dans in the drill? He said, no.
We have no Dans in the drill. Dan Schwartzman would be the only Dan I can think of. Yeah, it would have been good. Dan Miller used to be our Detroit guy. I remember Dan Miller used to be on the team back when 15 was in. Oh, yeah, yeah. He was kind of the before Dan. Papa Joe, I think. He was in between Kylie and the coach and Papa Joe. He's the voice of the Lions.
He could have just found a Dan somewhere and got him on. That's true. But he wasn't thinking clearly because we already have Pete Sweeney coming up at 5 o'clock. So we weren't going to get a Dan at 5 o'clock. But Pete's real first name is Dan. It's Daniel Peter Sweeney, I think it is. If it wasn't, it is now. Yes, it should be.

If it wasn't, it is now. Hey, there is some college baseball stuff going on. We talked about it a lot this week. The Kansas Jayhawks are playing right now at 4-3 right now as they're playing Northeastern. They've hit three home runs, and they're trying to get themselves advanced on in the regional that they're hosting. Easton's up here with his Arkansas shirt on.
He's trying to cause trouble with everybody. So we're not exactly in Jayhawk country right where we sit. There's one person who would be okay with that top. At least one? Yeah. I know a young woman named Liz who grew up in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Oh, that's right. Easton and I have talked about the Bobby Hopper Tunnel, and so that's the only person I know who really digs on some Arkansas.
You know someone else who really loved Arkansas, used to work here, but he didn't work here anymore. It's flashing past me. T.J. ? Oh. Probably a reason. Probably a reason. And we did talk to Kyle Crooks of UCM. They're in the first game of the World Series in the Division II. It's not going well right now. The Mules are down 6-0 to UT Tyler.
And then the Johnson County Community College Cavaliers will play tonight. If they win tonight, they will be national champions in junior college. So that's tonight. If they lose to Blinn County, they'll have another one. They'll have another chance because Blinn already has a loss.
Chapter 7: What challenges does the USA face in the World Cup preparation?
So we do have a lot of fun college baseball action going on. But we're going to talk about a lot of different things today because we didn't get to all the Chiefs yesterday. We'll talk a lot to Pete about the Chiefs, and we're going to talk, as I said, to Daniel Sperry about what's going on in soccer. But it is one of those ā we're in that kind of weird time of year where ā
There's not much going on other than some of these stick and ball sports and the Royals. We will talk about the Royals if you want to, Curtis. No one really wants to talk much Royals right now, but we will. They're going to be in Texas tonight. As of now, we had the question yesterday or earlier this week about when are they going to make changes. Right now, nothing's happened.
I felt pretty decent. Not decent, but like I didn't think I was out in left field figuratively and maybe literally. with thinking that they were going to make a change at hitting coach before today's game. I would think that would have been announced by now. Yeah, I don't see anything happening yet. So, you know, it is 2 o'clock. You guys are getting to the ballpark.
If that had happened, I think we would have heard by now. Probably an off-day situation on that one. But they're going to be down in Texas. We'll see what happens there. You know, it hasn't been good for them, obviously. It was a really rough homestand.
Well, hopefully they will do a little bit better when they get away from home, which has not been the case this year because they've been dreadful away from home. Maybe the script will flip. Could be. I know the offense has been the major issue. You know, the bullpen has not been great at the back. But Texas is not a team you're looking to get well against. But the next two are.

Chapter 8: How does the new MLS calendar align with international soccer?
The Reds and Twins are both teams that can't pitch. Cincinnati is a very hitter-friendly park. So maybe next week will be a little better. But Texas isn't a bad park, but their pitching is pretty good. So we'll see if they can kind of get things turned around ā We're just looking at ā I mean, everything we go into every series now going, well, if these four things happen. Yeah.
And I noted yesterday, I thought, that coming off the end of that series and that homestand, that it was the first time that I was kind of looking at this team not from a game-to-game standpoint, but just, all right, let's pull back to 10,000 feet. Not 30,000, but 10,000 feet and go, all right, what are we looking at? And Jason mentioned it in his last segment.
that you're not really thinking, what's the game going to be like? Can Stephen Kolek continue his? Can somebody get hot? Can someone do this? We're looking at individuals now instead of actual team success. But surprise us on this road trip. Come back after a nice trip, 7-3, 6-4. Then you can start thinking about individual games, but not until then. Yeah, well... It's all individual games.
That's the way they work it. They tell you it's one game at a time. That's their approach. But I think the fan standpoint and I think the analysis standpoint right now is not about ā You know, the ins and outs of tonight's game. Right. What can you do for me here? Broader topics. Yeah, for sure.
As I mentioned, they're still only seven wins away from home, which I think is the least amount of wins. The Marlins are 8-16. The Royals are 7-17. So that's a similar percentage. Listen, they've won seven games away from home. And they haven't won a lot of games to begin with. But only seven away from home. So don't expect great things tonight. But listen, they've got to go out and play them.
And the Yankees can just suffocate you. They really needed that win on Monday. They didn't get it done. And then it just kind of fell apart. Hopefully, off day, you know, get on the road. whatever, and work some things out. Change a venue. Something like that may work. I do want to play a sound bite before we get started here. I prefer before practice because it gives me more time to cut down for 2 o'clock. For what we need? Yes. After practice might not be all that bad sometimes. What do you see? So-and-so's back. Because they'll say, well, we'll see how he does today. And then you don't talk to him afterwards. And so then you don't talk to him for two days. You're like, well.
