And there has been criticism that Apple is not spending the huge amounts of money that
that other competitors are when it comes to artificial intelligence.
It seems to be taking a more cautious approach when it comes to artificial intelligence investment, waiting to see how this works through before it makes a big bet either way.
Microsoft is also this fascinating company to me because on one hand, it is spending huge amounts of money on artificial intelligence, including its investment in OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT.
But it also has seen some selling pressure on its valuation because its suite of software, Office 365, but also Word, et cetera, they are seen as being potentially very vulnerable to artificial intelligence investment that you might get
artificial intelligence eating the lunch when it comes to these software services.
So investors have really had to wrestle with, wait, what is the value of this company overall if we think it is doing well when it comes to its investments in artificial intelligence, its investments in the cloud, for example, but actually a big part of its legacy business is really at risk.
And then you've got Amazon, which was for a long time seen as a bit of a laggard again when it comes to artificial intelligence.
has suddenly almost seemingly corrected in the minds of many investors, where people now think it is kind of a real competitor when it comes to artificial intelligence investment.
And again, with its huge investment in the cloud.
All of them want to be number one when it comes to artificial intelligence.
They're all kind of going in a slightly different way.
And I remember when we had ChatGPT launch,
there were real questions about Google's future because for the first time, perhaps the Google search monopoly, effective monopoly, was going to be badly impacted by a competitor because people could go and use a chat GPT system to search the internet instead of using the traditional Google interface.
But Google seems to have done a very good job, a successful job of changing its own capabilities and now obviously utilizing AI and search.
A lot going on there.
It's hard to see the valuations, but I think the overall theme seems to be the more money you throw, Apple may be excluded, the more money you throw at artificial intelligence, the more the market likes it.
Yeah, that has been an interesting kind of storyline throughout the last few months, which is pretty major job cuts in some of these tech companies, you know, thousands being slashed.
Now, this seems to be, on one hand, positive.
