After some renovations, Simona plastered the walls with wallpaper and furnished her room with both practical and sentimental items from home. This included books, oil lamps, and an iron, but also things like ebony jewelry chests, glassware, and an oak bed she inherited from her family. She also hung a shotgun from the Kosak family collection right by her door for safety.

Well, the other thing is we've talked a lot about Simona's upbringing and kind of this break off of traditional roots that maybe her family were expecting her to follow and in regards to art and the artistic way of life and career. And I was just thinking back to kind of like myself a little bit too, and how that has translated in my life and how I can relate to that.

anything you know everyone's done their own thing but there was this kind of like you know simona is the first in her family to do something different and i think a lot of people can relate to that um especially nowadays with different choices of careers and just different opportunities that never existed before and for me that came in the form of deciding to move away from all my friends and family and my bubble in new england right after college
